AICPA & CIMA Global Women to Watch

Aug 01, 2025 · 2 min read

At the AICPA & CIMA, we seek to elevate the accounting profession by amplifying its wide array of voices. As we continue these efforts, we are shifting our focus to celebrate both emerging and experienced women in the profession throughout the year. The new AICPA & CIMA’s Global Women to Watch recognition series will honor women who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession and demonstrate leadership characteristics attribute to their success.

CPA Practice Advisor will continue the annual Most Powerful Women in Accounting recognition, a successful program that recognizes C-suite and executive-level leaders.

AICPA & CIMA’s Global Women to Watch will recognize women throughout the year beginning in 2025 through various channels that may include social media, online journals and blogs, podcasts, LinkedIn Live series, and more. Women can only be recognized once, so that we can extend the recognition to a broader group of women. Nominees must be members of the AICPA or CIMA to be highlighted through the new program.

The Woman to Watch program has two categories, Experienced Leaders and Emerging Leaders, which are defined below.

Thank you for your incredible nominations for Global Women to Watch! As this is our inaugural year and we've received an overwhelming number of inspiring submissions, we're taking extra care in the review process. Recognized women will be announced in the coming months—stay tuned!
