This article provides insight on how to apply knowledge. Noting the topics you identified as relevant to the pre-seen material and thinking about how to apply your knowledge to the tasks set in the exam will increase your chance for success.

This short article explains how to consider each of the CGMA power skills while you are studying and then how to demonstrate them in your case study exam answer.

Mastering exam verbs: A practical guide for CGMA® candidates (25-minute read)

This practical guide explains what each verb means and how to reflect this in your exam answers. Using examples from the pilot papers (applicable from May 2026 onwards) and key examiner insights, this resource offers key tips to improve your technique and boost confidence.

This resource allows you to achieve the following objective:

  • I can interpret exam verbs, recognise the skill level they signal, and structure my answers to meet examiner expectations.

Kaplan mock exam based on the May 2023 pre-seen (approximately 5-hour exercise)

Mock exam created by the training provider, Kaplan. Tasks, model answers and expert debriefs are provided to illustrate how to approach questions and get ideas of what to write in your answer. You will need to allocate time to read the May 2023 pre-seen, attempt the tasks, watch the expert debrief relevant to your level (35 min) and review the model answers.
