27 March 2026, Colombo, Sri Lanka — AICPA and CIMA and The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen finance and governance capabilities among Sri Lanka’s business and finance community over the next three years.
This agreement highlights the growing demand in Sri Lanka for professionals with stronger finance, governance, and board-leadership capabilities. Through a series of joint workshops and tailored events, the partnership will equip finance and business professionals at all levels finance and corporate governance tools and insights needed to navigate today’s complex digital landscape.
In addition, CIMA members will be able to fast-track their way to SLID membership through SLID’s Board Leadership Director Certification Programme. Conversely, SLID members will be eligible to access Global C-Suite Business and Finance Programme to become Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA designation holders) and CIMA members. Members of both organisations must still meet their respective professional body’s membership requirements.
