29 September 2025, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – AICPA and CIMA will host the fifth edition of their flagship leadership programme, the CGMA Leadership Academy, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 6 to 9 October 2025.

Returning under the theme Leading Finance in the Age of AI, the CGMA Leadership Academy 2025 is designed to equip future finance and business leaders with the core foundations for success: the mindset to embrace change, the skillset to master the new rules of finance, and the toolset to execute with precision and impact.

Venkkat Ramanan FCMA, CGMA, Vice President, Asia Pacific at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, the global alliance formed by AICPA and CIMA, said:

“AI is transforming every industry - and finance is no exception. With disruption comes opportunity, but success depends on more than just awareness. It requires strategy, execution, and leadership.

At AICPA & CIMA, we prepare accounting, finance, and business leaders to meet that challenge. Beyond qualifications, we focus on building the mindset and perspective to make smart decisions in complex environments.

The CGMA Leadership Academy 2025 is a four-day immersive programme designed for professionals leading through change. Through expert panels, interactive roundtables, and live case studies, we will explore the evolving role of the CFO, leading in uncertain times, practical roadmaps for AI adoption, driving digital transformation, and personal leadership growth.

This Academy is not just about learning - it’s about equipping leaders to act with confidence, deliver sustainable success, and shape the future of our profession.”

This four-day immersive learning experience will feature expert panel sessions, knowledge-sharing roundtables, and live case study discussions, on topics such as the evolving role of the CFO, leading through uncertainty, developing a roadmap for AI adoption, driving digital transformation, and personal leadership development.

For the first time, participants will gain exclusive boardroom access at AirAsia RedQuarters (RedQ) immersing themselves in real-world scenarios. They will evaluate high-stakes trade-offs, debate strategic options and present their own analysis, experiencing firsthand the pressures and responsibilities of top leadership.
