AICPA & CIMA to sponsor EAA 2024 Annual Congress in Bucharest, Romania

The event will provide a chance to connect with passionate scholars and empower the accounting and finance profession with exclusive access to thought leadership, research, and insights

13 May 2024, Bucharest – AICPA & CIMA, which together form the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (the Association), will be a gold sponsor of the European Accounting Association’s (EAA) 46th Annual Congress, which will be held on 15-17 May in Bucharest, Romania. This reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to promoting high-quality accounting education and long-standing dedication to fostering accounting research to further advance the profession.

Accounting scholars, researchers, and practitioners from all over the world will gather in Bucharest over three days to engage in dynamic sessions and symposia, providing insights and thought leadership to help keep accounting research at the forefront of innovation and shape the future of the profession.

Catalin Albu, Chair of the European Accounting Association’s Annual Congress, said:

The EAA Annual Congress is the culmination of the EAA’s yearly activities and takes place in a different European city every year. This year it is organised by a passionate team of researchers from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Ro. Academia de Studii Economice din București), and an estimated 1,300 delegates will attend the event. Around 800 papers will be presented in approximately 230 parallel sessions, and nine symposia will focus on current accounting topics.
