Action Update – July 30, 2026: Termination rescinded

Mr. Berson's AICPA membership was terminated effective January 9, 2026, for violating AICPA Bylaw Section 7.4.6. Pursuant to AICPA Bylaw Section 7.5.01(1), the hearing panel subsequently reconsidered its prior decision and granted Mr. Berson thirty days to satisfy specified cooperation requirements. The panel further determined that, upon compliance with those requirements, the termination would be rescinded. Upon determining that Mr. Berson had satisfied the specified requirements, the hearing panel rescinded the termination of his AICPA membership.
