6 August 2025, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) have announced that they have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for another three years.
The agreement allows MIA members with a minimum of six years of relevant working experience to fast-track their way to CIMA membership, subject to passing the CGMA Strategic Case Study exam and meeting the practical experience requirements. Over the years, the agreement has contributed to expanding career opportunities for accounting, finance, and business professionals and has given employers in Malaysia access to a broader and more globally competitive talent pool.
