CIMA applauds members promoted into senior finance leadership roles in Botswana

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the world’s leading and largest professional body of management accountants, is proud to announce that ten of its members in Botswana, all Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation holders, have recently been promoted into senior finance leadership roles across leading organisations in the Botswana and the wider African region.

The newly appointed leaders are:

  • Mr Peter Emolemo Kesitilwe, ACMA, CGMA – Chief Executive Officer, African iGaming Alliance

  • Mr Oaitse Gabadirwe, FCMA, CGMA – Chief Executive Officer, Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants

  • Dr Tebogo Magang, ACMA, CGMA – Acting Executive Director, Botswana School of Business Sciences

  • Mr Godfrey Bonno Molefe, FCMA, CGMA – Caretaker Registrar General, Companies and Intellectual Property Authority

  • Mr Pulafela Isaacs, FCMA, CGMA – Chief Financial Officer, Botswana Housing Corporation

  • Ms Pascaline Sefawe, ACMA, CGMA – Deputy Executive Director – Corporate Services, Botswana School of Business Sciences

The CGMA designation, created by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and CIMA, is the premier global management accounting credential. It recognises finance professionals who have advanced proficiency in finance, operations, strategy, and management. To earn the CGMA designation, candidates must first complete the CGMA Professional Qualification and meet rigorous practical experience requirements.

This latest wave of senior appointments highlights the growing influence of the CGMA designation within Botswana’s finance profession, reflecting the high level of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership capabilities that CGMA professionals bring to their organisations.
