Members of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the world’s leading professional body for management accountants and a founding member of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, recently achieved an over 80% pass rate in the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) examination offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ).
As part of the five-year Membership Pathway Agreement between the two accounting bodies, CIMA members must complete the APC to become Chartered Accountants in Zimbabwe. In the examination, CIMA members are required to apply their technical skills to a scenario that simulates the real-world business challenges and responsibilities faced by accounting and finance professionals working for Zimbabwe-based organisations.
