5 October 2026, London – The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is set to bring together senior voices from business, technology, media and education including entrepreneur and investor Deborah Meaden, for the fifth edition of the ENGAGE UK & Europe Conference.
Taking place at London’s De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms on 13 and 14 October 2026, ENGAGE UK & Europe will examine the forces reshaping business, finance and accounting, from AI, productivity and leadership to talent, trust and the economic outlook.
The two-day programme will be organised around curated content tracks, offering delegates practical insights, fresh perspectives and valuable opportunities to connect.
With dedicated content for SMEs, the public sector and financial services, alongside Power Skills, a new track for 2026, focused on the human-centred capabilities finance and accounting professionals need to succeed in a rapidly changing workplace, attendees will be able to tailor the experience according to their priorities.

Building Better Businesses: Fireside Chat with Deborah Meaden – Entrepreneur and investor Deborah Meaden will bring her trademark candour, commercial insight and practical strategic thinking to the event. One of the UK’s most respected business leaders, Meaden will explore the challenges and opportunities facing modern businesses, with a focus on sustainable growth, responsible leadership and the values future leaders need to build better businesses.
Economic outlook for today’s organisations –Paul Johnson, CBE, one of the most respected economists and former Director of the Institute of Fiscal Studies, will discuss the economic landscape shaping organisations today. He will explore the forces affecting SMEs, financial services and the public sector, from inflation, interest rates and productivity challenges to regulatory change and fiscal pressures, and explain why strategic thinking is becoming a critical advantage in navigating uncertainty.
Driving economic growth and resilience in a fast-changing environment – Alfred Ramosedi, FCMA, CGMA, President of CIMA and Co-Chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, will join a panel chaired by award-winning broadcaster Nadine Dereza to examine shifting global dynamics, the impact of technological innovation, and the urgent need to build resilient, future-ready economies.
Shaping the future with Rise2040 –Andrew Harding, FCMA, CGMA, Chief Executive, CIMA and Paul Turner, FCMA, CGMA, Vice President, UK and Europe, CIMA, will explore the forces reshaping the profession through Rise2040, AICPA and CIMA’s profession-wide initiative examining the future of finance and accounting. They will discuss how finance leaders can navigate change, harness emerging technologies and build resilient strategies for demographic, economic and technological shifts.
The ‘hidden asset’: storytelling as a communication superpower – Award-winning speaker, educator and business storytelling expert Andrew Thorp, Managing Director at MojoLife, will lead an interactive session on the power of storytelling in business communication. Drawing on his background in sport and leisure, Andrew will share practical techniques to help professionals ‘storify’ their message, connect with audiences and build trust through clear, memorable communication.
On 13 October 2026, CIMA will also host its annual ENGAGE UK & Europe Awards Ceremony and Dinner, recognising the achievements of CGMA students, members and partners, and celebrating excellence, innovation and leadership across the profession.
