Under the automatic disciplinary provisions of the Institute’s bylaws, Mr. Katz’s AICPA membership was terminated effective August 26, 2026. This action was taken following a final judgment of conviction for crimes punishable by imprisonment for more than one year. Mr. Katz pled guilty to violating 18 U.S.C. §371 – Conspiracy to Defraud the United States and 18 U.S.C. §1014 – False Loan Application.
