AICPA & CIMA, together as the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, have collaborated with six Ghanaian educational institutions to provide finance and accounting students with the digital self-paced learning program, namely the CGMA Finance Leadership Program.

With traditional in-person tuition and examination methods being challenged by digital acceleration, the CGMA Finance Leadership Program provides instant online access for aspiring business and finance leaders to gain the financial knowledge and competency needed in the world of business and accounting. It provides a new guided learning and assessment route to completing CIMA’s CGMA Professional Qualification and earning the CGMA designation, the most widely held management accounting designation in the world.

The six Ghanaian educational institutions offering the CGMA Finance Leadership Program are:

  1. Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration

  2. Koforidua Technical University

  3. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology

  4. University of Cape Coast

  5. University of Education Winneba

  6. University of Ghana

Paul Aninakwah, ACMA, CGMA, Country Director for Ghana at AICPA & CIMA, said:

“AICPA & CIMA are pleased to collaborate with Ghana’s institutions to provide the CGMA Finance Leadership Program to finance and accounting students in the country. The CGMA Finance Leadership Program presents numerous opportunities to students, and offers them a great opportunity to start building skills needed to become successful financial professionals ahead of their joining the profession and ultimately become strategic finance leaders.”

Professor Ebenezer Adaku, Acting Dean at GIMPA Business School, added:

“We are delighted to collaborate with AICPA & CIMA, the largest professional body for accountants in the world, to develop and grow GIMPA Business School students and alumni. Through this collaboration, GIMPA Business School will be able to inch towards its vision of nurturing highly skilled finance and accounting professionals in Ghana who have the growth and innovation mindset and skills needed to succeed in a continually disrupted business world.”
