In consideration of the ECA forgoing further investigation of her alleged misconduct, Ms. Taraz entered into a settlement agreement under the Joint Ethics Enforcement Program effective July 27, 2026. Under the settlement agreement, Ms. Taraz was admonished by the AICPA pursuant to an order issued by the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners related to her failure to comply with the Board’s continuing professional education requirements for the 2023 calendar year.
