As a result of a decision issued by a hearing panel of the Joint Trial Board, Mr. Villanueva received an admonishment effective January 9, 2026. The panel found Mr. Villanueva guilty of violating the Acts Discreditable Rule (2.400.001) of the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct for failing to comply with the state board’s continuing professional education (CPE) requirements for the reporting period ending September 2023.
