For years, AICPA members have shared a clear message: more business leaders need to understand the value CPAs bring to organizations, communities and the economy.
That feedback inspired CPA Trust, AICPA’s national awareness campaign to elevate the profession among business decision-makers and users of advisory services. Through advertising, media, digital content and social posts, the campaign is helping more organizations understand how CPAs drive growth and support better decisions.
Public trust in CPAs is already strong. CPA Trust builds on that foundation by highlighting the range of services CPAs provide and encouraging more organizations to engage CPAs as trusted partners.
Building Momentum
The campaign launched in June with national and Washington, D.C., advertising that reached more than 12 million people. Across television, digital media and social platforms, CPA Trust highlighted a simple message: CPAs help power many of the most important business and financial decisions organizations make every day.
Paid social media campaigns expanded that reach among key business audiences and directed decision-makers to TrustedCPA.org, where they could learn more about the profession and the value CPAs provide.
Mark Your Calendars for a Day in the Spotlight
The next phase of CPA Trust continues to raise visibility through sponsored content and high-impact placements on CNBC.com beginning later this month, including a prominent home page spotlight on Oct. 21.
Additional digital advertising launching in November will feature a video marking America’s 250th anniversary, reflecting on the profession’s history and future.
Together, these efforts showcase how CPAs help organizations grow, make informed decisions and create long-term value.
“By increasing awareness of what CPAs do and the value and trust we deliver, we are creating new opportunities for practitioners while reinforcing the strength and relevance of the CPA profession,” said Mark Koziel, CPA, CGMA, president and CEO of the AICPA.
You can amplify these awareness efforts with a single social media post. Visit CNBC.com on Oct. 21 to see CPA Trust featured on the home page. Consider posting a screenshot and sharing what it means to you to see the CPA profession highlighted on a national stage.
Measuring Progress
CPA Trust is designed to achieve a simple goal: strengthen consideration for CPA services by helping more decision-makers understand the value CPAs provide.
In 2027, AICPA will measure awareness, perceptions and use of CPA services among business decision-makers to track the campaign’s impact and inform future efforts.
Members can expect additional advertising and activities this year and next as the campaign continues building momentum for the profession.
“At a time when organizations have more choices than ever for financial and business advice, CPAs stand apart because we are grounded in ethics, professionalism and a commitment to the public interest,” said Susan Coffey, CPA, CGMA, CEO of Public Accounting for AICPA. “CPA Trust is helping more business leaders understand what many already know: CPAs bring a unique combination of integrity and insight. By telling that story more broadly, we are reinforcing why CPAs remain among the most trusted advisors in business.”
