Cybersecurity Auditing in the State of Arkansas

Introduction: In Arkansas, the Arkansas General Assembly recognizes that its entities are not immune to cyber incidents and formally noted the need to collect information to prevent these disruptions. Act 260 of the 2021 Regular Session (Ark. Code Ann. § 10-4-429) requires public entities to disclose, in writing, any cybersecurity incident to the Legislative Auditor within five business days of learning of the incident. Included within this article below are measures that Arkansas has taken to combat cybersecurity issues.
