Background and Makeup

The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (Association) Nominations Committee comprised of CIMA and AICPA members will convene in December 2019 and January 2020 to nominate members for the Board of Directors (i.e., Association, Management Accounting, Public Accounting) and its Chairman and Vice Chairman and select Committees with terms beginning June 2020-May 2021.

In July 2019, the Association’s Management Accounting Board of Directors voted to have all seats for the Committees determined by the Nomination’s Management Accounting subcommittee.  CIMA Council approved this resolution in October 2019 with the objective of building a strong pipeline of volunteer talent, providing opportunities for rotation of our broad and diverse membership, and ensuring candidates are fit for purpose.

Each Regional Advisory Panel consists of approximately 10 member seats. RAPs provide management accounting insights, input on local marketplace trends and offer the perspectives of CIMA and AICPA members in management accounting as well as those of students, employers, and key regional stakeholders. Following the launch of the Association in January 2017, the Regional Advisory Panels now report into the MA Board of the Association and their new terms of reference are posted on cimaglobal.com.

Members of the RAPs are members of their founding body (CIMA or the American Institute of CPAs) and are also members of the Association. The RAPs also include students studying to become an ACMA and/or CGMA and employers.  As a member of CIMA or AICPA and the Association, you are entitled to a vote on the elected positions to the applicable Regional Advisory Panel.  The RAPs include:

  • Australasia
  • Europe
  • MESANA
  • North Asia
  • South East Asia
  • United Kingdom

Nominations

All individuals interested in serving on the Regional Advisory Panels should complete and submit the online form below. This information will be reviewed by the Nominations Committee in January 2020 along with input from the incoming RAP Chair.
