The Appointments Committee oversees key elections, nominations and appointments across Council, committees, external bodies and certain Association governance roles. It also has delegated authority to make appointments to governance and MA committees, working parties and conduct committees, while ensuring appropriate governance safeguards, including the management of conflicts of interest. The Committee also approves nominations for medals, awards and honorary Fellowships, recommends the appointment or dismissal of the Chief Executive, and receives reports on payments made to Council members to ensure these align with agreed policy.
