Eric Young, CPA, started his career with the Department of the Auditor General of Pennsylvania before moving on to a robust career with Grant Thornton LLP for nearly a decade. He also served at the Department of Justice, United States Marshals Service, where he managed financial statement reporting and internal control and compliance.
Eric joined the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General (OIG) in 2009, serving as an audit manager in the Office of Emergency Management and Operations Audits before moving into the Office of Audits in 2011. He has more than 30 years of audit and accounting experience. His work includes managing audits of DHS components and programs, including the Coast Guard, ICE, TSA, CBP, and DHS financial statements.
