John P. Gaspich, Jr., is a CPA, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), and is Certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA). He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Master of Law and the Master of Public Administration degree programs and previously graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Professional Accountancy.

John is the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania chief risk officer and is charged with establishing the inaugural PA Enterprise Risk Management Office, which will identify, track, and mitigate risks across all commonwealth agencies. He previously served as the chief, Audits Division in the Office of the Budget, Bureau of Audits, the chief audit executive at Penn State Health for 18 years, practiced at international public accounting firms, and possesses over 30 years of extensive experience in the intricacies of business, government, and health care operations.

John contributes to the AICPA Government Performance and Accountability Committee, has served on the Joint Trial Board since 2019 and is the current chair, and has served on the AICPA Healthcare Expert Panel, the Risk Management and Internal Control Strategic Advisory Group, and the Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST) Working Group. He was a contributor and the overall executive reviewer of the AICPA Audit Committee Toolkit for both the governmental and not-for-profit sectors.

He is in his 12th year serving as an elected Hampden Township, PA, commissioner; has served on the Hampden Township Sewer Authority since 1996, and previously served as a member of the Hampden Township Golf Advisory Board.
