Join CIMA's Conduct Committee

CIMA is seeking Fellows and Associates to join its Conduct Committees as independent decision makers. Committee members play a vital role in considering complaints of professional misconduct involving CIMA members and students, participating in meetings and hearings, and helping to determine appropriate outcomes. Committee members receive a fee for attendance.

About the role

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to CIMA’s public interest responsibilities and help maintain confidence in the profession. Members are expected to approach each case fairly, objectively, and impartially, bringing sound judgement and the confidence to express an independent view during Committee discussions and hearings.

Who should apply

We welcome applications from CIMA members with strong professional experience, sound judgement and the ability to consider complex issues carefully and objectively. Applications are encouraged from members working in business, industry, the public sector and professional practice. Experience of investigating, assessing or making decisions on matters involving professional standards, ethics, governance, conduct or regulation would be advantageous. Applicants should be able to commit sufficient time to prepare for and attend hearings and meetings.

To maintain the independence of the Committees, applicants must not currently be, or have previously been, involved in the governance of the Institute including CIMA Council and its Committees.
