The bylaws of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (the Association) set out the governance and operational framework of the Association and support its mission to advance the global accounting and finance profession. The bylaws work alongside those of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) to guide the Association’s activities, strategic priorities, and responsibilities.
The purposes of the Association, as set forth in its governing documents, include:
Serving as the most influential body of professional accountants worldwide;
Advocating for the profession, promoting the public interest, and supporting the success of businesses and individuals;
Delivering innovative resources that keep members at the forefront of market needs;
Promoting the most recognized and respected global accounting designations;
Leading the global profession across both public accounting and management accounting;
Advancing strategic positioning, brand advocacy, sustainable growth, member value, and operational excellence;
Ensuring delivery of the AICPA mission and the CIMA Royal Charter objects;
Integrating management, strategy, and operational activities across the AICPA and CIMA.
Through this framework, the Association strengthens and supports the profession worldwide and enhances the collective impact of AICPA and CIMA.
