CIMA Committees and Panels
CIMA has four main Committees.
The Appointments Committee oversees the selection and recruitment of members/individuals to serve on CIMA’s Committees. The Committee Comprises of 3 Honorary Officers, Past President and 3 without portfolio (CIMA Council) members.
The Membership Committee provides input to Council on the policies, criteria and standards governing membership of CIMA. The Committee also appoints assessors, defines the training required for assessors and monitors performance of assessors. It is also responsible for defining the appeals process for appeals against decisions of the assessors. The Committee comprises between 8 and 15 members and meets 3 times a year.
The Professional Standards Committee provides input to Council on the strategies and policies on the professional standards and conduct processes for CIMA members and ensures compliance with requirements of external regulators. The Committee develops monitoring and licensing regimes including CPD and Members in Practice requirements. The Committee comprises between 8 and 15 members and meets 3 times a year.
Independent Conduct Committees incorporates the Appeals - 6 members, Disciplinary - 18 members and Investigation Committees – 12 members. Each Committee has CIMA Members and Lay Members who are independently selected and are not CIMA Council or Committee members.
