This standard form, jointly approved by the American Bankers Association (ABA), the AICPA, and the Bank Administration Institute (BAI), is used to confirm deposit account balances and loan account balances with financial institutions. The form is not designed to discover information that does not appear on the confirmation request; therefore, financial institutions should not be expected to disclose information
