Following the initial shock of the global pandemic in 2020, new data collected through hundreds of interviews with finance leaders and employees reveal a profession moving away from the office.


In Finance and the Great Reshuffle, our key findings, sourced from three age demographics (younger than 35, 35–44 and older than 44), found that:
53% of respondents plan to or are considering leaving their jobs.
42% of 35–44-year-olds feel overworked.
Those working in a hybrid model were less likely to report burnout than colleagues who returned to full-time, office-based work.
Of the 68% who said that upskilling programs exist in their company, only 17% wanted to leave their roles.
75% valued upskilling, fairness, and transparency in their leaders and organizations.
