If you would like to receive member enhancing benefits and information such as the Member Edit, promotional discounts and incentives, professional development opportunities, event updates and more, please do not unsubscribe from all email in 'My Marketing Preferences’.

What is the cost of membership?

For the upcoming membership year, there will be a nominal increase to CIMA membership fees to continue investing in member resources, professional development, member engagement and support for members and candidates. There will be no increase to student fees. To read more about this decision, please see the 2026 AGM Notice.

How can I pay for my membership renewal?

  • Pay online via debit card, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, or conveniently set up Auto-Renewal via Direct Debit (UK only) by logging in to your account.

  • Call our global 24/7 payment hotline and pay with a debit or credit card In the UK: 0844 292 0240, outside the UK: +44 (0) 20 8602 0861

    This is an automated service. Ensure you have your 9 digit AICPA CIMA account ID. You can find this number in your online AICPA CIMA account, under My Personal Details.

  • Call AICPA CIMA Contact on +44 (0)20 8849 2251 and pay with a debit or credit card

  • Send a cheque, money order, UK postal order or sterling bank draft, made payable to AICPA CIMA. Write your account number on the back of your cheque and send it, together with a remittance advice to CIMA, 30 Crown Place, 8th floor, London, EC2A 4ES, United Kingdom.

How do I set up direct debit for easier payments and renewals?

Log in to your account and select 'My payment methods’, which is within ‘My Profile’. Once CIMA is selected, direct debit will appear as one of the payment options. Please note: You need a UK bank account to set up a direct debit.

You can also set up auto-renewal through ‘My membership and benefits’ in your CIMA Profile for even greater ease. Your convenience is our priority, so pay however you prefer, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Who can I contact if I have a payment issue?

Response times will vary depending on how and when you reach us:

  • Our live chat feature is available 8am–11pm GMT, Monday through Friday. The time it takes to connect you with an advisor will be determined by site traffic.

  • Our phone lines are also available 8am–5pm GMT, Monday through Friday. Depending on call volume, you may be connected with an advisor immediately or be in the queue for up to an hour.

  • Our Facebook and LinkedIn channels accept direct messages 24/7. We aim to respond within 48 hours for social media enquiries.

  • You can email us for payment enquiries. We aim to respond within 3 working days.

Depending on your region, you may be able to directly contact us locally.

Where can I get a receipt for my membership?

Make sure you are logged in, then click on your name in the top right corner, and click Profile. Under the My Wallet section, click on My Transaction and download the paid invoice.

Where can I find my membership certificate?

Once you have passed your exams and completed your PER, you’ll be invited to apply for ACMA membership. When your membership is confirmed, you will automatically receive your certificate within 7-12 weeks.

Please contact us if you have not received it within this time.

If you require a replacement, please notify us through our webform.

How do I register multiple practices?

When you sign up or renew, you can register multiple practices, as well as nominate which is the primary practice, at the time you complete the application/renewal forms.

If there are any issues, please email us directly at CIMA.MIPs@aicpa-cima.com.

Please note: All Practising Certificates are issued with individual member names, not to the practice as a whole.

How do I upgrade to FCMA?

Go to Become a CIMA Fellow to check your eligibility and find full details on how to apply.

How can I resign my membership?

Please contact GEC via the webform, who will be able to help.

I’m retired, what are my options?

If you are fully retired and have been a CIMA member for 20 years or more, you can apply for permanent remission of fees.

  • You will not be required to pay an annual subscription fee.

  • You will still be able to place the letters FCMA, ACMA, and CGMA after your surname.

  • You can vote at the CIMA Annual General Meeting.

  • You will receive the annual report and accounts, and the annual returns form, which includes a proxy voting slip.

How do I apply for reduced membership?

If your financial circumstances are severely reduced, you may be eligible for a reduced subscription fee ('remission') to assist members in need. These circumstances include:

  • No income from employment

  • Unemployed and raising a family

  • Re-entering full-time education to obtain a further qualification relevant to the field of accountancy

  • Prolonged illness – where illness prevents gainful employment for a period of not less than three months

  • Full-time caring for disabled children, parents or partners

  • Voluntary services / VSO of two years maximum (after which proof may be required)

  • Retired members who do not meet the CIMA retired members criteria (above)
