Hispanic Heritage Month Member Spotlight
Hispanic refers to those originating from a Spanish-speaking country or who have inherited the Spanish language. This term focuses on geography, not language. People from Hispanic backgrounds come from various locations and races, and speak many languages, pointing to the incredible diversity within the Hispanic heritage. This Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15–Oct. 15), we’re spotlighting some of our profession’s Hispanic members as they teach us about their backgrounds and culture.
In this month’s video Member Spotlight Series aimed at Amplifying the Diverse Voices of the Profession, we are proud to feature Victoria Thayer (she/her/hers) CPA, Founder of Novii, CPA and member of AICPA’s Emerging Professionals Initiatives Committee as she discusses her journey to becoming a CPA and interacting with clients daily. “I think that the accounting world and the CPA industry are so full of possibilities. You can be anything.”
