Successfully managing a CPA firm means cultivating a vibrant culture and fostering talent while serving clients in a constantly changing environment. The Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) supports CPA firms of all sizes in the everyday intricacies of running a practice by providing practical and customizable practice management resources.

PCPS is an add-on firm membership section within the AICPA, with membership starting at only $50 per CPA, up to a max of $850 per firm. Membership benefits include benchmarking data and customizable tools, along with articles and podcasts, networking opportunities, and discounts on AICPA professional liability insurance and select AICPA conferences and webcasts.

Your firm’s membership investment garners a wealth of resources you can use in your practice, regardless of your size. Plus, all firm staff (not limited to AICPA members) are eligible for the benefits and discounts of PCPS membership!


PCPS Firm Membership Requirements
Membership is open to firms meeting the following requirements. To join, a firm partner or owner must complete the online application.

  • Majority of the firm’s financial and voting interest must reside with CPAs. All eligible CPA owners/shareholders must be AICPA members

  • Firm must be a U.S. based public accounting firm (consulting firms may be approved on a case-by-case basis)

Membership dues (August 1- July 31) are based on the number of CPAs in the firm
