Digital Management Accounting (DMA®)
Digital Management Accounting (DMA®) is an international digital accounting qualification introduced by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA®) and the China International Talent Exchange Foundation (CITEF) for the Chinese market. The primary objective of the programme is to enhance the digital and international mindset of finance professionals, producing highly skilled and sought-after experts with global perspectives, digital expertise, and advanced management accounting skills.
In 2019, CIMA reformed the curriculum and made digitalisation a core competency of the CGMA® (Global Chartered Management Accountant) professional competency framework. DMA® certification system was designed and developed as per this framework, tailored to meet the emerging needs of Chinese accounting professionals in the digital era. The curriculum has been thoughtfully crafted to integrate professional themes, digital concepts, and practical modules to provide a learning platform for finance professionals in the digital era to enhance their comprehensive professional competencies, promote skill transformation and upgrading of accounting professionals, and assist in the comprehensive digitalisation of enterprises.
The programme brings together the Association's high quality resources with a global team of experts responsible for the development of the exam syllabus. Students who pass both the DMA® Level I and Level II exams will receive the DMA® diploma issued by CIMA. The certificate carries the AICPA® & CIMA® logos and provides fast-track access to the CGMA designation. CGMA designation is recognized in the financial talent shortage policy in many parts of the country.
