Federal funding in response to the pandemic over the past three years has increased the number of NFPs subject to the Single Audit Act. In addition, increased levels of turnover at federal award recipients as well the accounting firms that conduct the compliance audits have resulted in an unprecedented number of individuals who are being exposed to Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) for the first time. Part 2 is designed to provide an overview of the key subparts and provisions of Uniform Guidance to provide both auditees and auditors a focus of the compliance requirements as a first step in gaining proficiency.
