Emily is a Senior Manager with BDO Canada’s Forensic Dispute & Investigations practice with over 15 years of experience. She previously held similar senior positions with KPMG and Crowe MacKay LLP. Her areas of focus include performing data analytics, database design, litigation support, contract compliance, shareholder disputes, fraud investigations, forensic technologies, identifying and testing of general IT controls and application controls, assessing risk impact, delivering related documentation, and providing recommendations for improvement areas. She also has experience auditing and dealing with complex business and IT environments. Having a background in accounting and management information systems, she had the opportunity to work with various financial systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, Hyperion, Microsoft Dynamics AX, PeopleSoft, and MediTech) and a variety of operating systems (Windows, Unix). In addition, Emily has extensive experience with IDEA, Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL. Prior to joining public practice, Emily held junior positions in assisting in the day-to-day business operations for financial institutions, insurance, retail, and distribution industries.
