Speakers
Dr Ian Jackson
Dr Ian Jackson is an applied economist based at the University of Wolverhampton Business School having received his PhD from the University of York. He has over thirty years of teaching experience at UK universities as well as delivering lectures in China, India, the Middle East and across Europe. Ian’s research expertise is focussed mainly on industrial economics in sectors such as aerospace, brewing and ceramics. More recently, Ian has started to apply economic ideas to areas including the circular economy, green procurement and ecological economics. Finally, Ian has a long-standing interest in the economics of professional team sports especially Rugby League.
Sharon Walton
Sharon has 30 years’ experience in finance and transformation, having begun in audit practice before moving into industry with roles in the private and public sector, with extensive experience of leading large global teams. In Finance Director and COO roles Sharon has been responsible for all aspects of financial management, including treasury, capital and statutory accounting, risk, performance management and internal audits roles. Her roles have included several Shared Services implementation and management, internal control reviews, process improvement and risk management in companies including ABB, GE, Bentley and BUPA. She became a CIMA member in 2001 is Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Lean Six Sigman Black Belt. She has held several board roles including Chair, Vice Chair and chair of Audit Sharon currently works for Natwest leading teams in Manchester, Edinburgh, Sweden, Poland and India, is the head of Finance for their Manchester hub and the Global Process Owner for Transact to Record.
Associate Professor Arijit De
Arijit is currently working as an Associate Professor at The University of Manchester. He is an Industrial and Systems Engineer, Operations Research and Machine Learning Scientist and Management Science Senior Lecturer.
Dr Mike Drayton
Dr Mike Drayton is an leadershipcoach, organisational consultant, and clinical psychologist He is a leadership coach at Said Business School, University of Oxford on the MBA Programme, the Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Programme, Oxford High-Performance Leadership Programme and Driving Disruptive Growth Programme. He draws on experience in scientific psychology and the behavioural sciences to improve organisational performance, wellbeing, and engagement. He is an executive coach accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) at Senior Practitioner level. He has a degree in social psychology from LSE and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Birmingham, He is a graduate of the Oxford Programme on Negotiation (Said Business School) and an accredited mediator. He has authored 4 books on business psychology.

Natalie is a national award-winning HR Consultant with an unconventional approach. She is a mentor and coach to start-up businesses.
Claire Forth
Claire is a CIMA Member in Practice. In 2021 Claire became a Chartered Tax Adviser and even after years of training is still excited about providing tax advice. Her company, Forth Accountancy, offer specialist tax advice in income tax, CGT and IHT, along with advice and practical help with indirect taxes such as VAT and PAYE. Tax is changing at the fastest pace in history and Claire keeps her clients up-to-date to provide the best tax compliance
