As you may know, across the UK, the CIMA network organises both face to face and virtual events each year to provide members and students the opportunity to keep up to date with the latest developments in the profession, as well as building networks with other colleagues.
CIMA members come from a wide range of sectors and role, and we believe that our members know better than anyone else what our members want and need, so events organised by the members in our branches ensure that the content is the most relevant.
This event is open to all members and students and is your opportunity to hear about both AICPA & CIMA’s advocacy work (further details below) and also give your feedback and views on how we can promote CIMA locally, including what events will be held within the area during 2024.
Attending local events can provide personal CPD benefits, together with opportunities to network with other professional bodies. Come along with your top 3 event ideas and help us ensure that the 2024 events programme adds something to your CV.
Advocacy in action
One of the Association’s strategic priorities is to Strengthen Global Advocacy. Ross Archer, Director, Public Policy, AICPA & CIMA, will join the Area Committee to share some insights into the Association’s recent global advocacy work, and how it is shaping the future of the profession.
This advocacy work around the world supports and promotes trust in our profession and business. You will hear how the views of members often shape submissions, and about the opportunities for members to get involved, sharing their insights and views on issues of the day. One key project this year has benefitted greatly from member input, and in particular management accountant’s insights into how business is striving to mitigate rising inflation.
