In this session, we’ll explore the barriers to AI adoption and identify real-life use cases for AI being deployed to support organisations’ drive for profitable growth.
Nick will highlight examples drawn from Oracle’s experience in AI and get into more detail about the practical uses of AI in areas like HR processes, predictive forecasting, process automation and reporting. He and Ash will discuss the rate of AI adoption and explore actions to enable finance professionals to start their AI journeys.

Nick has had a strong interest in financial management and performance improvement throughout his career, working across a number of industries, including central and local government, energy, and utility companies. He was a management consultant with EY, and later Capgemini, specialising in financial and performance management.
Nick joined Oracle having worked across several central government departments driving finance transformation, concluding as Director of Corporate Services for Ofsted. He advises customers on using Cloud solutions to transform finance and performance management.
Nick works closely with the accounting profession, looking at the changing role of finance and CFOs. He served his annual term as President of CIMA, and Vice-Chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants in 2020-21.
Ash Noah, CPA, FCMA, CGMA

In this position, Ash leads the Research, Examinations and Learning product development for the Management Accounting Unit.
Ash works closely with CFOs and Business Finance Leaders globally, identifying the trends that are impacting practitioners, businesses and the profession in order to ensure that the Association’s Finance Competency Framework, Syllabus, Examinations and Learning solutions remain effective and are producing competencies to operate and remain relevant in the practice of Business Finance.
Ash was formerly the CFO of the International Unit of TNT, A global express logistics provider and has led finance transformation in teams across 45 countries. He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), licensed US CPA and member of the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA). He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Ash has a passion for flying and is an avid aviator.
