Product Details

Forensic practitioners often associate their roles with serving as witnesses for one party in a dispute. However, they may also find themselves in positions that place them at the center of the conflict, such as litigation neutrals, court-appointed receivers or monitors. In collaborative divorce, the financial professional is always neutral.

Practitioners in these roles can significantly influence the outcome of disputes and, at times, establish thriving niche practices.

Participants will learn about:

  • The unique aspects of these roles
  • How they differ from working as an expert for one side
  • How experienced practitioners have developed practices in this niche
  • The practicalities of administering and executing these engagements

Key Topics

  • Understanding the neutral role and the practical aspects of these engagements.
  • Understanding the role of a court-appointed receiver and the practical aspects of these engagements.
  • Understanding the role of a monitor and the practical aspects of these engagements.

Learning Outcomes

  • Distinguish the roles of forensic practitioners serving as neutrals, monitors or receivers from other roles as experts in litigation.
  • Recognize the differences in being retained, administering and executing engagements as a neutral, monitor or receiver from other litigation services roles.
  • Identify opportunities for personal and practice growth as a neutral, monitor or receiver.

Who Will Benefit

Forensic practitioners serving in litigation and dispute services engagements.
