Crystal Cooke
Crystal joined the AICPA & CIMA in early 2020 and oversees its member facing Diversity and Inclusion team where they encourage workplaces within the accounting and finance profession to cultivate environments where workforces are inclusive of people with different experiences and perspectives and where diversity of thought is valued and supported. She believes that a workplace that is reflective and inclusive of the global communities in which they operate is positioned to innovatively solve the challenging and complex issues facing clients and the evolving public interest. This is critical to the success and sustainability of our profession. The resources developed under her team are designed to support a culture where those with diverse lived experiences can grow and thrive. This includes underrepresented individuals such has those who identify as LGBTQ+, as well as gender fairness and equality for women. She also collaborates on initiatives aimed at supporting the profession’s emerging professionals. She serves as the Vice-Chair of the AICPA & CIMA’s National Commission on Diversity & Inclusion, whose mission is to be champions that guide and support the accounting and finance profession in creating sustainable workplaces through expanded pathways that attract and retain qualified high performing talent with a commitment to inclusive leadership. Her work requires collaboration with senior executives of partner organizations and accounting firms who also seek to increase and advance culture and inclusion in their workforces. In 2022, 2023 and 2024, Crystal was named as one of Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting. This listing identifies the thought leaders, change-makers, regulators and other leaders who are shaping the profession. Prior to the Association, Crystal spent 12 years at the Center for Audit Quality where she managed Governing Board operations, financial reporting and budgeting processes, and talent, which included leading efforts around Diversity and Inclusion. She was also employed at KPMG LLP for 7 years as an auditor in their assurance practice in Washington D.C. Crystal holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. She and her family reside in Bowie, MD
Ebonie Jackson
CPA/CITP, CGMA
Ebonie is the CFO & Director of Administrative Services at Lucas County Children Services (LCCS). In this role she serves as the chief financial officer and advises the Executive Director, The Board of Trustees and the LCCS Leadership Team while supervising the Fiscal, IT, Training & Development, Clerical, and Buildings & Operations organizations of LCCS. Before taking on this role, Ebonie was the CFO of Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority. Ebonie has also served as the Controller at Backyard Products, a private equity managed manufacturer and marketer of wood-based sheds and playsets. Ebonie started her career as a Senior Associate in KPMG’s Washington DC Practice, where she led audits across several industries. Ebonie moved to Toledo, Ohio to become an employee of Owens Corning. While at Owens Corning she held many roles including FP&A Financial Leader (supporting corporate functions), Global Financial Standards Implementation Leader, Plant Controller, and Senior Internal Auditor. Ebonie is a thought leader who has not-for-profit board and committee experience. Over her professional career Ebonie has served as a member of the AICPA Nominating Committee, AICPA National Accreditation Council, AICPA Certified Information Technology Professional's Steering Committee, the AICPA E.D.G.E. Conference Committee, the AICPA Manufacturing Conference Committee and the AICPA Life Insurance/Disability Plans Committee, The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) Audit and the OSCPA Governance Committee. She has been recognized as one of Toledo’s 20 Under 40 and is a member of the inaugural class of the AICPA’s Leadership Academy. Ebonie is a proud graduate Florida A&M University where she received her B.S. in Accounting and MBA. She loves board service and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the AICPA & CIMA, The Ohio CPA Foundation, The Toledo Zoo (Governance Chair), LISC Toledo Advisory Board, and Toledo Racial Equity & Inclusion Council (Co-Chair Economic Development).
ZeNai Brooks
ZeNai is a millennial leader with extensive business and civic experience. She has combined her passion for community advocacy and her professional career as the Controller of the Corporate Responsibility function of Cummins, a Fortune 200 company and Treasurer of the related Foundation, which provides funding to grassroots initiatives and strategic programs around the world. ZeNai also serves as a Board Member with the INCPAS and as the Central Region President & National Director with the National Association of Black Accountants. She believes that as we engage in community by giving back, empowering others and "Lifting As We Climb", everyone can make a difference. In 2021, ZeNai was identified as a 40 under 40 Black CPA Award winner. She is also the author of FINISH! Leveraging career, sport, faith and failure
Charmone Adams
Charmone Adams is an Advisory Senior Manager with Grant Thornton LLP and is based in the New York Office. Since joining the firm, Charmone has been working closely with many SEC and FINRA regulated entities. He has over 13 years of experience in financial services and his portfolio comprises US, UK and APAC based companies, such as, investment managers, investment advisory firms, banks and broker – dealers. In recent years, his focus has been on providing clients with guidance on key risk, regulations, internal controls and internal audit. Charmone holds a BSc. (Business Administration) from Central State University and an M.B.A. and MSc. from Franklin University. In addition, he holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license with the state of New York and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
