John Nicolopolous
ohn has over 30 years of business experience, providing assurance and business advisory services to a diverse client base with focus on the consumer products, hospitality, and real estate industries. John also serves McGladrey in a national role as the National Employee Benefit Plan practice leader. He provides audit, tax and compliance related services to a wide variety of employee benefit plans ranging from traditional profit sharing and 401(k) plans to multi-employer pension and health and welfare plans. Prior to joining McGladrey, John was a partner at Caturano and Company. He joined Caturano and Company from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he serviced a wide range of privately held and publicly traded companies in the retail and distribution, hospitality, and healthcare industries. He has significant acquisition experience in providing buy-side and sell-side due diligence and technical accounting advice on deal structure and related acquisition accounting matters. He also has in-depth knowledge of internal controls. John has provided internal audit services and related consulting services to privately-held and publicly traded companies. Before entering the public accounting profession, John spent nearly 10 years in the retail industry where he gained valuable experience in all aspects of retail operations. He developed significant expertise in hiring, training, and retaining staff, inventory management and control, merchandising, cash control, and loss prevention. This unique blend of operational and financial experience enables John to fully understand his client’s business risks and to apply a practical approach to client service.
Gwen Stoute
CPA
Gwen Stoute serves as the leader of HoganTaylor’s Employee Benefit Plan practice, one of the largest in the Oklahoma/Arkansas region. HoganTaylor’s EBP practice provides audit services to approximately 200 defined benefit and contribution plans, including 401(k), 11K, 403(b), ESOP, and health and welfare plans, and also prepares approximately 400 Form 5500 returns annually. Gwen has 20 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in audits of employee benefit plans. She is experienced in working with various retirement plans of all sizes. She also has served privately held companies in many industries, including not-for-profit, architectural/engineering, manufacturing, distribution, transportation and retail. Gwen is a 1997 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Arkansas (B.S.B.A. degree in Accounting). Gwen is a presenter at various conferences, including the AICPA National Conference on Employee Benefit Plan and SouthWest Benefits Association. Gwen is a member of the AICPA and the Arkansas and Oklahoma Societies of Certified Public Accountants. Gwen also serves on the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan conference committee and is a member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center Executive Committee.
Marcus Aron
CPA
Mr. Aron has over twenty years of experience in working with audits of ERISA-covered plans. He is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of EBSA’s CPA Firm Inspection Program, providing technical assistance to plan filers and plan professionals, and providing ERISA-related accounting and auditing expertise within EBSA. Mr. Aron is a certified public accountant and holds a B.B.A. degree with a major in accounting from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.

David Torillo
David A. Torrillo is the managing member of Torrillo & Associates, LLC, and oversees the accounting, auditing, and valuation services for the firm. Formerly a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Dave has over thirty years of accounting, auditing, SEC and financial reporting experience, primarily in employee benefit plans. Dave also volunteers on several committees, boards and associations. He has instructed courses and authored papers on several accounting topics and also performs quality control reviews. Dave has served on the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants Employee Benefit Plan Committee since its inception in 2007 and has co-presented the Technical Update at the PICPA Employee Benefit Plan Conference numerous times. Dave has been a presenter for numerous topics for AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Conferences as well as for webinars of the AICPA EBPAQC. Dave has served as a member of AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Expert Panel and is currently serving on the AICPA Practice Monitoring Task Force for Employee Benefit Plans and as a member of the AICPA EBPAQC Executive Committee and PICPA Professional Ethics Committee. Dave received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with highest distinction and honors from Pennsylvania State University. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1994 and is licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York. Dave has been a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) since 2004 and was awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential by the AICPA in 2006. He is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. In 2016, Dave received the Advanced Defined Benefit Plans and the Advanced Defined Contribution Plans Audit Certificates from the AICPA.
