Frank Xavier Ryan
CPA, CGMA, MBA
Frank Ryan is president of a management consulting firm specializing in turnarounds, workouts, crisis management, strategic planning and working capital management. He has extensive experience working with banks in negotiating forbearance agreements, loan workouts, capital restructuring, vendor negotiations and bank lending requirements. Mr. Ryan is a leading expert in Lean Operations and Management and has implemented numerous lean applications for organizations. Prior to his consulting business, he was the chief operating officer of a mid-sized manufacturing company. Mr. Ryan serves and has served on numerous boards of directors of public and non-profit charitable organizations. In March 2008, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of a Good Shepherd Services, a residential treatment facility for developmentally disabled children. Mr. Ryan is Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Institute of World Politics and is also a trustee of IWP. He serves as the Audit Committee Chair for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Additionally, Mr. Ryan walked 2806 miles across America in 2014 to raise awareness of the needs of children with emotional and behavior issues and for developmentally disabled children. He is the third oldest person to have ever done it. Frank Ryan, a retired Marine Reserve Colonel, was recalled to active duty, out of his military retirement, in December 2004 and served with Multi-National Force-Iraq until June 2005. Prior to his initial retirement in 2002, Mr. Ryan served as the Central Command Special Operations Officer during Operation Enduring Freedom. Mr. Ryan’s personal military decorations include three Legions of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal and the U. S. Army Commendation Medal. Mr. Ryan is a multi-year recipient of the AICPA Outstanding Discussion Leader Award.
Matthew X. Ryan
CPA, CFE, MBA
Matthew X. Ryan is the co-owner of a turnaround management consulting firm, Matthew Ryan specializes in crisis management, strategic and operational planning and risk analysis, and due diligence research for companies ranging from manufacturing start-ups to established service organizations. In addition to his consulting practice, Mr. Ryan co-writes and teaches professional education courses for state CPA societies and private companies across the country. Mr. Ryan earned a B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and serves on the Board of Directors of a Pittsburgh-based non-profit organization while volunteering for several other non-profits throughout Pennsylvania.
