Bryan Geels
Bryan’s obsession for continuous improvement and his drive to challenge the status quo are built into his DNA. As a founding partner of Geels Norton, his passion for technology and innovation has championed the firm's efficient, streamlined, and value-driven processes and audit platforms. Over his 14-year career in public accounting, Bryan has excelled in various roles at small, regional, and global firms. He spearheaded data analytics and transformation initiatives at each firm and firmly believes that the smart use of data analytics techniques can elevate performance across all roles.
Wesley Hartman
Wesley Hartman is the Founder of Automata Practice Development. Automata is a managed automation service provider that specializes in building automations to alleviate pain points of the accountant. Additionally, he will consult on a firm's processes and tools to help them implement and streamline their automation initiatives. He will consult with vendors on the direction their applications should take and how their application can be integrated with other applications in the accounting space. He occupies a unique position by being a computer engineer who worked on autonomous vehicles and worked for an accounting firm managing their technology. Before starting a software development business, he was the Director of Technology at public accounting firm for 15 years and has worked with information technology within the financial services industry since 2005. Wesley's strengths include introducing technology into a firm's existing processes to make them more efficient and analyzing data patterns to streamline the movement of information in systems. One of his focuses has been to implement automation to create data bridges between software packages. Wesley earned his bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from California State University, Northridge. He is married and enjoys hosting a yearly Halloween haunted house for his local community, as well as training in Aikido.
Jim Gilbert
Jim has more than twenty years of experience in business. Jim started as a billing clerk and progressively moved worked in many different staff and management roles up to CFO. Jim has experience in many different industries (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Technology, Automobile, Medical, and Real Estate) in Small Businesses up to Fortune 500 businesses. Jim is highly experienced in forming a variety of business entities, business expansions, divestitures, mergers & acquisitions, and business closures. Most importantly, Jim has focused his entire career on integrating technology to strategic plans and business processes alike. He is passionate about supporting the CPA profession and helping his peers embrace technology to prepare for the ever-changing landscape of business and automation.
