FASA, CFA, ABAR
Chris is the Chairman of Mercer Capital. He began his valuation career in the late 1970s, and he has prepared, overseen, or contributed to hundreds of valuations for purposes related to tax, ESOPs, buy-sell agreements, and litigation, among others. In addition, he has served on the boards of directors of several private companies and one public company. He enjoys working with business owners to address ownership transition issues. Chris is a prolific author on valuation-related topics, including Buy-Sell Agreements: Valuation Handbook for Attorneys (ABA Book Publishing, 2024).
Serena Morones
CPA/ABV, ASA, CFE
Serena Morones is a forensic accountant, damages expert and business appraiser. She leads the forensic accounting firm of Morones Analytics, in Portland, Oregon. In its 23rd year of business, Morones Analytics is among the largest forensic accounting firms in the US founded and led by women. Serena has been engaged in over a thousand cases, testified over 130 times and has built a strong reputation as a credible testifying expert. Serena is passionate about mentoring younger generations of experts and teaching them best practices that lead to becoming the most credible expert in the courtroom. Serena’s other passion is sports photography. It’s her art and way of telling stories visually while also giving back to the community. In the fall, you’ll find her on the sidelines of college football games.
