Accelerating Development as an Expert

Valuation appraisers and forensic accountants who can provide effective expert witness testimony continue to be in high demand. However, building a curriculum vitae doesn’t happen overnight and it is oftentimes difficult to get hired as an expert with little to no prior testifying experience. In this webinar, we will discuss ways that these professionals further their careers in the litigation space. We will also discuss your role as an expert witness within the litigation process.

Expert witness testimony requires an additional skill set beyond those needed to perform the analysis, including various communication skills. Consequently, we will cover approaches to successfully deliver your opinion to the trier of fact.

We will identify the resources that we have found most helpful in these engagements, from preparing the analysis to providing testimony, to the question “How do I get my first testimony experience?”
