The importance of your work in government management accounting and the challenges and opportunities you face are at the forefront for the AICPA.

To represent CPAs and CGMA® designation holders working in an accounting or finance role within federal, state, or local government, we established the Government Performance and Accountability Committee (GPAC).

GPAC serves the public and AICPA members who assist in ensuring government accountability and transparency.

In collaboration with staff at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants®, the Government Performance and Accountability Committee, which comprises 12 volunteer members:

• Advises government officials, regulators, and stakeholders, advocating for issues that matter to the accounting and finance profession

• Enhances the value and image of CPAs in government

• Advises the AICPA on government CPAs’ needs

• Bridges communication between government CPAs, the AICPA, and other organizations

• Offers best practices and resources to AICPA and CIMA members
